Children's Learning Community

Children may attend the class following the One Room Sunday School cirriculum that is multi-graded and -aged. Children Kindergarten through Middle School are welcome in this class.
There is also a wonderful nursery staffed by a paid professional for preschool
children and babies.

Children's Worship Center in Room 3
This is an exciting way of approaching faith formation with children. It recognizes children as spiritual beings, who already have a relationship with God, and the children learn about God as they experience God.
At Community children as young as three years old hear and see Bible stories using visual objects in a way that allows them to enter into the stories and form responses out of their own life experiences. They also learn the meaning of church traditions and participate in worship practices. It is a Montessori influenced program that is effective with all types of children.
Youth Groups
Sundays 3:45-5:45 pm
Chi Rho (6-8 graders) meets twice a month on the first and third Sundays with other youth from First Christian Church in Mesa and Chalice Christian Church in Gilbert. They also meet for Retreats twice a year, one in Phoenix and one in Tucson, and for Summer Camp once a year. In February the group will meet on February 7 at Chalice Christian Church, but the weekend of February 20-21 they will have Regional Youth Retreat in Tucson. Click here for a form for this.
CYF (9-12 graders) meets three times a month on the first, second and third Sundays with other youth from First Christian Church in Mesa and Chalice Christian Church in Gilbert. CCF (3-5 graders) meets once a quarter for seasonal activities. They also meet for Retreat in the Spring and for Summer Camp.
